Headlamp Lens Mould

Part material: Transparent PC

Part feature:

- The outside surface requires grade A.

- It usually need coating on outside surface for anti-scratch.

- For single color lens, it usually has parting line due to inner core-pulling.

- It trends to double color lens which no need inner core-pulling and without parting line.

The key points of mould:

- For sing color lens, most of moulds need inner core-pulling structure. Some of moulds need inner core-pulling plus lifter or straight ejection. The control of inner core-pulling line and lifter line is the key to mould structure.

- For double color lens, the key is how to fix the plastic piece of first shot. In order to the plastic pieces of two shots bonded firmly, the second shot needs multi-tip gate.

- Mould steel: NAK80/2738/2343/8407

Headlamp Housing Mould

Part Material: PP+T20 or T40

Part feature:

- Many places is related to assembly.

- The holes for bulbs and wires have sealing requirement.

The key points of mould:

- The mould is with many components, inserts and slides, which would cause flashes.

- The cooling channels should be in groups to prevent deformation of plastic piece.

- Long time EDM tooling.

- Mould steel: P20/2738.

The Bezel Mould

Part material: PC/PBT + GF/PBT +PET/PA66+GF

Part feature: Need metallization. High requirement for part surface.

The key points of mould:

- The design of welding line location.

- The design to prevent the plastic piece attached in cavity.

- The design to prevent deformation of plastic piece.

- Mould steel: NAK80/2343/2738/8407

Reflector Mould

Part material: BMC or PEI

Part feature: Need metallization. Strictly requirement in optical design.

The key points of mould:

- High precision for tooling.

- When moldflow analysis, notice to air trap problem.
