Welcome to our company, based on our experiences of plastic injection mould making. We are listing some tips regarding air cooler mould manufacturing as follows.

1. Spray anti rusting agent on the mould once a day to prevent rust; the workpiece must not be placed on the ground; the molding interfaces of the mold must be protected well. If the molding interface is damaged, burrs will happen on the part.

2. Checking the size of the mold mounting hole and the position of the ejection hole. (Processed as per drawing)

3. Checking the cooling system to make sure no water leakage problem. Each group of cooling line must undergo a 6Kg pressure test. If there is no leakage for 10 minutes, it is qualified.

4. All sliders of mould must be equipped with a tension spring limiter (and a protective cover) to prevent the slider from moving and damaging the moving parts.

5. All moving parts need to be Nitrided for more durable.

6. All marks of EDM processing on the ribs should be eliminated.

7. An exhaust mechanism should be installed where the product has air pockets. (Parting surface, rib position, end of gate trough)

8. The surface of the mould should be flat and smooth, without wrinkles, waves, or burrs. The surface should be mirror-finished.

9. Molded products

There should be no steps, obvious wiring, or burrs at the splicing and parting surfaces.

10. The diameter of the small end of the main gate must be bigger than 3.5m/m (increase 0.5mm according to the size of the mould and injection molding machine holes), and the inner hole should be polished. The external spring of the sky side slider must be installed with a spring protective sleeve.

11. There must be an oil groove on the side of the lifters, and the exhaust must be done at the deep ribs. The distance between the exhaust and the product is 4mm. The parting interface of core and cavity, sliders, lifters and inserts should be as flat as possible.

12. The holes of inclined guide pins and the top plate guide pins should be drilled with through holes for easy disassembly.

13. The ejector pin hole and push-back pin hole should be smoothed by hand reaming to prevent the ejector pin from fraying, and 25-30mm should be left on the fixed part to prevent flash and friction.

14. All cooling water connectors should be quick connectors (according to the standards of each OEM). The diameter of the small end of the cold gate must be bigger than ∅3.5mm.
