Manufacturing plastic products requires the use of injection molds. Under normal circumstances, plastic products produced using this method have a good surface gloss and color, but sometimes it is inevitable to have some shortcomings. In addition to the material problems of the plastic itself, colorants, and the surface gloss of the mold, what are the reasons for the surface gloss of the plastic mold to cause this phenomenon?
(1) Poor smoothness of the mold, rusting on the surface of the mold cavity, and poor exhaust of the mold.
(2) When there are problems with the mold pouring system, cooling holes should be added, and flow channels, polishing mainstream channels, diversion channels, and gates should be added;
(3) The material temperature and mold temperature are both low, and if necessary, local heating at the gate can be used.
(4) The pressure of injection molding is too low, the speed is too slow, the injection time is insufficient, and there is a lack of back pressure, resulting in poor compactness and darkening of the surface.
(5) Plastics should be fully plasticized, but not degraded, stable under heat, and sufficiently cooled, especially for thick walled plastics.
(6) Prevent cold materials from entering the parts. If necessary, self-locking springs can be used or the nozzle temperature can be lowered.
(7) Too many recycled materials are used, plastic or colorants are of poor quality, mixed with water vapor or other impurities, and lubricating oil used is of poor quality.
(8) The locking pressure should be appropriate.
