If there are problems with injection molded parts, it may be caused by mold plasticization or injection molding stage, and sometimes it may be related to unreasonable design. In addition, the position size, the number of mold cavities in the product structure, etc. can also have an impact. In order to prevent product defects caused by injection mold design, we usually need to conduct trial mold processing.
After the trial mold is completed, the operator usually needs to evaluate the specific situation of the mold to avoid adding cost and time during the modification process. Generally, in order to compensate for defects in mold design, incorrect settings may be made unknowingly. The range of parameter settings required for producing qualified products is small, and any deviation in the parameters may lead to quality exceeding the allowable error range.
Some injection molds are limited by the template area, resulting in the slider being exposed outside the guide groove after core extraction. During the initial stage of mold closing and resetting, it is easy to cause the slider to tilt, especially during mold closing, causing damage to the slider and even bending damage. So we can use experience to make the slider complete the core pulling action and pay attention to the length left in the chute. Designing molds requires mass production according to the quality requirements of the plastic parts, in order to reduce the cost of the mold structure, which is the better mold.
The cooling effect of injection molds directly affects the quality and production efficiency of products, such as poor cooling, large shrinkage of products, uneven shrinkage and warping deformation. On the other hand, the overall or local overheating of the mold can lead to poor forming effect, which may lead to production stoppage and other situations. In severe cases, it can also cause thermal expansion and jamming of the moving parts. The design of the cooling system needs to be determined by the shape of the product, and this step cannot be omitted due to the complexity or processing difficulties of the mold.
